Default What is wrong with doing this?

Why would you not want to install caltracs and tighten them up as tight as possible when you go to the track. Instead of just putting a little preload on the springs.

Seems like it would try to throw your Pinion angle off?? Just guessing outloud..

b/c the springs need movement for the caltracs to react, pushing the spring back to normal.
there was a guy at the track in a mid 80's rcsb with a small block. he had relocated his rear rancho shocks so they were verticle and left a good inch between the caltrac cross pin and the spring.
that thing was leaving on the back bumper running 11.00's.
