What year 4l80e do I have?

The 80e that has the rear lube fitting uses a different fitting. If you don't use the longer rear fitting you can burn it up. Is yours a 97-99? If so then you have the newer lube circuit with no top bolt hole.

it had no top hole but the factory fitting i took out had about 3/4 inch tube after the threads.

So it had a fitting in the front and rear instead of one on top of the other like a 60e does, Right?

Yours is a 97,98 or 99 then. Were there any tags on it or anything? Metal tag on right side or tag like pictured above?

It will be fine, places use various cores. Some builders prefer certain year cores.

ok everything bolted up great. just waiting to do my cooler lines and segment swap. cant get my HP tuners to read anything from my pcm at this point.

I think the first number on the 80e is the year. your getting there dude!
