Whats the best choice for a auto trans in a 6.0 swapped rcsb silverado?
A buddy has a reg cab silverado with a 6.0 that put about 420hp to the tire. He has a built 4l60e now with a busted case. He looking at his options on what transmission to buy. What would you guys suggest? He just recently got the truck with the bad transmission and a broke drive shaft. How well will a transmission like a performabuilt 4l60 last in the truck? If it were me I would probly swap over to a 4l80 but he doesn't want to have to buy another converter or have to have the truck retuned so he wants to stay with a 4l60 or 65e.
He will probly be hitting it with a small shot of nitrous sooner or later also.

Naaah...the Nova belonged to a client of mine from a few years ago. He asked me to help him finish the car... it was quite a ways from being road worthy when I got it.
It was purpose built for street racing ( not that I condone that specific activity :-) ) and we campaigned it for a couple of summers before we went different directions. It sports a 4-link, 33.5x16's, a powerglide, and a N/A 632" bullet.
Let me see if I can find an old thread on tech I had posted a while back....

The Nova - LS1TECH
There ya go... that's the infamous "Nova" thread I did a few years back... Scroll down a ways and you'll see some pics from when I had it in my Ft. Worth shop.
We got a little attention with that car. :-)

Thanks Darrell for u looking for some options as well for me. Im new to the LS world and learning as I go. After a lot of reading and researching I feel the level 6 RPM is my best route to go.
