what's the difference
What is the difference between a transgo shift kit and a transgo reprogamming kit?
I realize that the more I know the more I realize I don't know.

The One Everyone On Here Goes With Is The Hd2 Kit, It Isnt Just A Correction Kit , The Correction Kit Helps The Bump Skip Shift Problems That Occur In These 4l60e's It Firms Up Shifts But Not As Much As Peformance Wise As The Hd2 Which Cures All The Problems And Gives You A Much Firmer Shift Which Is Better For Performance And Life Of Your Tranny.

the differences between the two are the shift kit should work will t/m and the hd2 requires a custom tune for the pcm to get it work properly over 2500-3000 rpm, the shift kit only comes with one gold shim instead of two for the hd2 kit for the 2nd apply piston, the shift kit says to grind 4 notches into the 2/4 apply pistion retainer the hd2 kit does not, hd2 kit comes with boost valve and alum spacer shift kit does not, there are 3 holes in the spacer plate that need to be drilled out to different sizes between the kits, larger in the HD2 kit for race or high stall, lower for prefer or firmer setting in the shift kit, 1-2 accumulator-hd2 kit uses spacers as well as an addditional blue spring where the shift kit doesn't have spacers and uses the orginal spring, the hd2 also includes a new purple 3/2 downshift valve spring and a new 1/2 shift valve and green spring that the shift kit does not include. I'm going to upgrade my tranny over easter weekend and will post a complete how to, differences, directions, things not to forget, etc when I'm finished
