Default Whats your converter drive like? Video inside

A lot of people wonder how a particular converter will run/drive under d/d conditions. I thought I'd have the wife video some normal acceleration in town as well as some cruise rpms at hwy speed with the 4.10's and the 29" tires. Hopefulley this will help some guys make a decision on what stall speed they may be in the market for.

Setup is in sig, truck with both of us in it is 5120 lbs.

Video of footbrake, and about a 30 punch, followed with cruise rpms at 70 mph.

Having the coils cut on the front stiffened it up ALOT, so I was able to remove the sway bar without any ill effects on handling. It transfers like a ****, even with the weak 4.8...lol.

Your first video looks alot like how my circle d 3k reacts. Its a really loose converter behind 5500lbs with 3.42s

Curious to know what your trans temps look like cruising around?

I made these vids to exhibit what my exhaust sounds like in the cab, but I suppose you could get an idea about my converter. Most of my accel was at part throttle, even the accel on to the highway, because if I go wot from a stop it just breaks the tires loose unless I'm in 4x4. Converter is a Circle-D 258mm billet multi-disc, 2B, about 3k behind my mild 5.3

Sorry, no Smashin Pumpkins though

The hottest mine has gotten was about 186, I was sitting in the drive thru for about 20 min, but as soon as I got moving again, it dropped to about 155 to 160 which is where it stays in 80 deg weather.
I have found that I can activate my 2nd e fan with the ac or efilive and even sitting at the drive thru it will maintain about 170 to 175.
