I just made up my own claps with steel stock, and four bolts, however i put them on the rear springs, in front of the rear axle, do i need to put two more behind the rear axle also? they work great though.

well when i went to order my lowering kit, origanaly 2/4, i wanted a sporty ride like hoskicks(spelling)<without the price. i put the hangars on first, with 1 spring clamp on each leaf in front of the axle... then i proceded to put the shackles on, when i put it down off the jackstands it had lowered way too much about 6in>(i dont know why?) so i took them off and put the stockers back on, dropped it about 4in.. but i had ordered 3inlowering coils for and ext cab<(for a stiffer ride) for the front, lowering it about 2.5in to 3in. after they settled it was rakeing about 1in so i put another spring clamp behind the axle, solved the 1in rake and ..No more wheel hopp.. after all of that it lowered it about 3/5.. i did not c-notch the frame. i kinda went by Loudasslostepside's setup and also gave me some advice...

I'm unclear about what spring clamps are. Can someone supply a link or an explanation or tell me what to ask for at the parts store? Thanks, Jim
