Default Wheel and Tire fitment??? Nitto 305/55r20 20x10

I need some help guys. I got a 2003 2500 HD 4x4 6.0L and want to fit Nitto 305/55r20 tires, that are 33"x12.5". My wheels that I bought are Weld Velocity 8, they are 20" x 10" w/6" backspacing(-25mm) and 4" lip. Can these fit on a stock hieght truck or will a 3" body lift work?

How detail is it to install a 3" body lift on these truck, also how much should I expect to pay if someone installs the body lift for me?

Thanks,
Chance

some rub, some don't. Just have to put them on and see. For 33" tires most just crank the T-bars. It's more the tire width/backspacing than tire height that causes any rubbing on a 2500HD.

I would think that 6" bs is to much my 4 5/8" bs is rubbing a bit under full turn. I guess the 12.5" wide tires could be the reason for that as well; but 6" bs would put the tire closer to the frame rail.

I have 32" (305/50-20's) tires with 6.5" BS. Had to trim the lower front bumper a bit, that's all. Could have cranked the t-bars, chose not to.

Actually, on HD's, the farther you can tuck a wheel in the wheel-well the larger tire you'll be able to run at a stock height. HD's have the wider front track width and that's what causes all the clearance issues. 4 5/8 is standard off road BS and should still work just fine.

His 6" BS will work too, but he'll have to decide which compensatory method he wants to use.

Most Common:
T-bar crank
Bumper Trim
Bumper spacers (washers & longer bolts)
Body Lift
Suspension Lift

He may need one or two of these to get that wide of tire to fit.
My personal feeling is that with a T-bar crank(leveling) and a bumper trim with 6" BS he will be just fine with a 305/55-20.

i did this setup on these same wheels with a 20x9.5 with +10 offset and it worked very well. Did a bit of trimming, but it looked great. Did you already get your wheels?

What all is involved in doing the bumper spacers? Also did you trim the metal/chrome bumber or just the valance? I can go with the 305/50R20 nitto grapplers if they will fit w/o having to do a body or suspension lift. I can crank the T bars as well.

Just the valance, not the chrome. about 1" in on the bottom angled up flush to the chrome peice.

I honestly don't think you'll have to do more than that if you crank the T-bars for the 305/55-20.

If you choose the 305/50-20's then all you'll need to do is trim the valance.
But some HD's don't need it.

hope this helps

OK Guys, offset is -25. So I guess that is about 5" or so backspacing and offset. Do you think I will have a problem with these??

huh? If BS is 6" then its 6". If its 5 then its 5. Can't really help you out any more than I have, they will work just fine with the above caveats.
