wheel weights are scary
So I just replaced my ball joints, bushings, and tie rods on my silverado. When I was getting it aligned today I had them rebalance the front tires. Fast forward to a couple hours later...
I am test driving it and I did a blast up to around 90 on the highway checking things out and I hear what sounds like a gunshot in the passenger floor area.
Pull over check things out - There was a 6 inch gash in my inner fender plastics with a dent in the metal under the plastic. Never had that happen before!

Sounds like they used the wrong weights. You would be amazed how many different styles there are. I like my stickies because if anything they stick harder at speed.

I'll get one tomorrow
i have some cheap aluminum rims apparently they hare hard to balance. they have stickies and the clamp on weights on this particular one. It _did_ feel awesome until the weight came off.
