When to start building tranny?

Not even close. They won't even do stock hp levels reliably - that's why they have torque management in the first place.
But they are tunable. Put the 'vette servo in and have your tuner firm up the line pressures a bit. With a high-mileage trans I'd have him pull no more than 50% of the torque management out. I know others will say that you can pull all of it out if you do those two things but I wouldn't for a daily driver.
This is how I'm running and it's how it's staying until I get things to where I can get FLT to build a unit for me.

Alrighty, I guess my plan now is to go ahead and order the corvette servos and get another transmission cooler. Easy install if i take off the grille?
And again, would a heavy duty one from Napa do the job? Or should I be looking at Summit Racing..?
