get a transmission fluid cooler as well. doesn't "strengthen" the trans, but it keeps the fluid temps down which increases longevity.

that cooler isn't that big... i'd upgrade it to a larger unit, something in the 24,000 GVW range or bigger.

Would one from Napa, the heavy duty one be enough?

I know others will say that you can pull all of it out if you do those two things but I wouldn't for a daily driver.

This is how I'm running and it's how it's staying until I get things to where I can get FLT to build a unit for me.
Agreed. I'm running maybe 400 horsepower with my mods and mine just bit the big one at 60,660 miles. I ran it for a while with all TQ management out from a PCMForLess tune, then when I got HP Tuners I put 20% back in and it still died in less than 2 year that I've had it. Build the trans before you pull to much out at all on more than double the mileage.

Alrighty, I guess my plan now is to go ahead and order the corvette servos and get another transmission cooler. Easy install if i take off the grille?
And again, would a heavy duty one from Napa do the job? Or should I be looking at Summit Racing..?
