Default Who all runs a 4L80 NA?

After my recent tranny failure i have been thinking about doing the swap to an 4L80 so i don't have to worry about trans problems anymore. I was just wondering for those who run their trucks NA how they like it... If i do the swap i will be getting a CircleD single disk 3200-3400 TC...

I think it busted the output shaft. It was only 8 months old and less than 10k miles.

a well built and tuned and treated 60 should put your truck deep into the 11s. i know Blake, chevrolet all the way, has gone plenty of mid-high 11s and another 100-150 low 12s second passes with his mildly built 60 ...FWIW

That sucks man, an 80 would def hold up no prob, but man its gonna hurt the performance some. I'm not gonna preach about a built 60, as some have good luck and some don't. I vote 6l80e!

Ya it sucks. Even thou it is under warranty this whole ordeal has cost some money and it is still going to cost more.

Tow = 180
fluid = 80
shipping of trans = 200-300
converter shipping = 80-100
TC cut and clean = 150

Plus 1.5 days of my life gone swapping the damn thing

Soooooo as ypu can see i dont want to do that again.

What kind of power do you think you are putting out? It is crazy that some BUILT units from very reputable places seems to hold up under crazy power, then others break under not so much power.. 80 will def cost a bit to get into place, some mods, but you will have added strength for sure..
