Default who is having sucess with there g80?

i found a deal on a g80 and gears so im going to get them installed tomarrow. i just hope it will work out for me ive heard quite a bit of bad things about them but the price was right.i dont do to much racing or towing. i just hope it last at least a year until i get enough money to get a eaton

not sure what kind of power you plan on putting down, I learned the hard way, be careful of the higher wheel speed burnouts, I messed up my spider gears and their carrier doing a 70mph(wheel speed) burnout.

Well, the fact you have a turbo that doesn't come on until after 2500-3000 or so, coupled with doing your launches in 4WD, not sure you've placed too much stress on your G80.

However, gunning out of the hole with a Radix in 2WD and you're going to have some problems, sooner if not later.

For the guy who started the thread - with a 4200 lb vehicle that you don't race, you should be okay for a year.

i have done pleanty of 90mph burn outs and the truck makes some retarded power out of the hole.

stock tires have to help it survive.

one other thing i never do is even try to get it to hook around a corner. i know it wont do it. i am always in a strait line when i hit it. maybe that is why it is holding or i am just lucky.
