Smile Who make BIG power with a 4L80 or T56??

I post hear because that's where the power is!
I am contemplating on possibly switching my T400 for a T56 or 4L80. I have 1000 hp and 800 ftlb of torque (CRANK).
Reason I am thinking about this is for the extra gears for top speed and driveability on the road track and standing mile challanges I would like to do next year.

Any experience? I am curious to hear from anyone who has made big power with either trans in stock or modified form.

Thanks for any info.

Pairsh has made 1000+ hp at the wheels through a Finish Line Performance built 4l80e.

Not sure about the T56's though. Turbo8 has made 650rwhp through his T56.

FLT Level 5 Extreme Duty 4L80E FTW!

P.S. Click on the link, and Parish8's truck will be in the banner on the top of the page (alternates with a silver vette, may have to refresh)

I want more top speed. I am just worried about trading my T400 with brake and my 10" bolt together converter for a 4l80 or t56 only to have problems. I know Mighty has had his share of problems.

My recommendation would be a faceplated Liberty geared T56 or any liberty trans for that matter if manual tranny was the way you wanted to go.
