Who makes 18" custom BS wheels?
Looking to mt slicks on an inexpensive wheel. Will have to use the Nitto 305/45-18 drag radial but want to mount them on an extra set of wheels just for the drags. My Boyds are 18x10 6.5 BS and they tuck in nice so I would like to duplicate those but without the big price tag.... I know thats a tall order but hey doesn't hurt to ask.......
Thanks

Boyds cost so much because they are Boyds... period, you arent going to get the same wheel for a substantially lower price... especially with a custom build sheet.
-I'd look in summit if you want a set of track wheels. They have fairly light steelies for cheap. Or do what I'd say 95% of us do and mount your track tires on some stockers for the track... Why are you limited to a certain Nitto tire?? Certain class rules? M/T ET Streets are a DOT tire and come a tons more sizes than any Nitto...

A 16" wheel with that kind of BS won't clear the caliper. Think I'm going to have to give up on the idea of tucking a pair of slicks. I would rather have ET Streets but a 10" wheel sticking out that far .......?

i was in the same boat , i found a set of centerlines 18 x 8.5 on ebay for dirt. i didnt think they were wide enough but they ended up working fine.
i recently saw a set of weld evo's on summit for likw 1200 for some 18x10 but they wouldnt have tucked good enough for me. but they were forged.
curious how much were the boyds?

The problem seems to be the drop center in the wheel. A 16" rim will clear the caliper up to the banjo bolt for the brake hose but the drop center will not. The drop center on the stock steelies is all the way outboard to help clearance. So widening a stock wheel would prob work. I just ordered a steel wheel 8x16 -5" BS that I hope is going to clear, and go with the MT ET streets in 28x11.5-16 and forget about a 10" wheel . The steel wheel is 117.00 ea. powder coated, what do they want to widen one?
