I know my truck is a 1995 but all i had to do was unbolt cross member slide it back about and inch or two, get an after market 80e trans mount drill new whole in frame and walah!! Mock your tranny up before you spend a arm and a leg to see if this works for you too...

 

I used a nbs 4wd 2500 x member and a spacer

 

Where exactly did you use the spacer Evil?
