That's a lot of scratch lol, but if you're at the power level where you need it I guess it's very necessary. How strong is my stock ds on my 2001 rcsb Silverado? By that I mean what is my rwhp limit?

Well let me ask one last question: what is the limit I should adhere to pertaining to speed? When I order my stall, my motor and trans will be going in and after a wet shot, I hope to trap 115+.

Lots of them wont survive that though. Some are longer than others, some spin faster because of the different gear ratios, and most aren't balanced as well as yours is. A grenaded shaft can cost you a lot more in repairs than a properly built and balanced DS would have cost in the first place.

Any case, I can recommend DriveShaftShop to others. They made a new one and could tell me it was safe to 170 before critical shaft speed would come into play. Wish I still had it, but it was built for my 5speed. Now I got a locals shop steel shaft that just broke a u-joint on it. I'll be honest, i don't trust it near as much.
Here's the old DSS piece, I want to say it was like 525 shipped.
