who really knows converters?
So as some of u know I finally have everything to upgrade my set up. Going bigger cam bigger stall. Now the stall is a 3c circle d converter 3600 rpm only issue is it came off an ls1 h/c camaro. I know it fits but I was told it will stall more like 4k? I just wanted a bit more not that much. This is my daily driver truck. Who knows how it will act? My truck weights 5200 lbs. If it were to go on a scsb im assuming it would be good but my truck is really heavy? Im trying to sell it but if it doesn't sell I might just run it. If it does I will he picking up a new one from circle d. Same stall just specd for my 5.3..

Chris is very knowledgable. If you wanna stick with Circle D I would hit him up, If I was a bettin man though, I'd say he'd recommend you a 3800-4000 4c converter for pure performance. It will be loose in a 5200 lb truck. I have an ss4000 in mine and even with some weight reduction its at 5120 with my wife and I in it. Mine is loose for sure, towing ability....yeah right, but performance.....it hits like a ****. Depends on what your wanting. And as far as the stall you posted about, it will likely stall at 4000ish being that it was speced as a 3600 for a 3500 lb car. your lack of torque will not offset the huge weight difference, its going to be looser than 3600.

Lol im just not looking for anything biger then a 3600. Its a dd. That's the reason I ask about this 3c converter. Its a 3c but came off an ls1. Will it act like a 4k in my truck altho its a 3c? That's the reason for selling it and having Chris make me a 3c for my truck. If its going to be a 3c and stall to 3600 ill keep it. That's y im asking. Wouldn't want to pay 300 more then what I already spent for the same thing.

I put a Yank 3500 from a camaro in my truck. Now the truck had quite a bit more power like 500rwhp opposed to the camaro which was give or take 375rwhp.Weight was 5000#'s for the truck 3500#'s for the camaro.Never had the truck on slicks but,the flash at wot would be at or above 5000rpms.Dont get me wrong it ripped *** at any speed but,imo DD it would have been a pita.So it would probably be a good idea to save a lil dough and get it reworked.

Lol same thing I was thinking. Well im seeing if anyone is interested and if someone takes it ill just save cash for a new one. I want nothing over a 3600. But I do want a 245mm. Currently got a 278mm hope to notice a nice gain in overall power
