It completely stopped the wheel hop that I had before and made a big difference at the track.

Google Calvertracing.

Been considering these for my '06. Especially after today when I finally got my spare tire off. Didn't think it would make that big a difference but the rear is a lot looser now without the spare attached and I've gotten some noticeable wheel hop that wasn't there before. Going to get a tune done in 6 hours, can only imagine how bad it'll be after that.

I have 3" Belltech drop leafs out back currently. Anybody else with a similar drop using these on a 99+? If so did you use the normal P/N 3400 (99-06 C1500) or did you need one of the Low Profile kits they offer?

they dont hook to the shackles. they hook to the front of the leaf spring and the bottom on the axle

P/N 3400 is the correct one you need.

Head N, check out ^comment from Fossil & look further down @ LQ4's post as evidence that they work. Search PT.net on Caltracs. IIRC, TxSilverado or somebody said it helped 60', since that's usu. a good indicator of traction.

BTW, you can get a stock 5.3( Or relatively stock) to wheelhop. Trust me, it happened @ track for me & a braketorque, while tough on parts, will reveal it as well.

I can attest to this. Mine starting hopping the other day when I removed the spare tire, hitch had all ready been removed. Just got a tune today, which added a lot of power without question, so I know it's going to be even worse now.

Be careful, I ordered the #3400 for my 3/5 drop and the spring eye bushings would not fit, they were way too big. I would call belltech and sheck the opening size of the spring eye to make sure. I had to have mine machined down to fit the smaller opening.
