Who's running a Yank 2600?

My TT2600 is on the shelf with chunks of metal falling out of it along with burnt fluid. It had a short life behind my motor < 2K miles. Just an opinion here,...go with at least a 3000 and not the TT, the SC for durability.
I still stand behind the PI converters though.

My 2600 is great. Flashes to exactly 2600. It is real tight, and driveability is awesome. If I went to the track all of the time and wanted bragging rights in the numbers dept., then I would have gone 3000 easily. But I wanted one that flashed a little higher than stock and didn't kill my gas mileage... Plus, I am doing a Radix soon, and a 2600 would be enough, IMHO... Your motor is big and torquey enough down low to make that 2600 do it's job getting you off the line better...

I have a Yank TT2600 and i love it. Have had it for about 15k miles and it is not tight at all like some have reported with theres. Mine is actually pretty loose compared to other 2600 converter trucks i've driven. I"m cutting 1.6x 60's with it. Don't know what to tell ya, from what i'm reading, you just have to get one and hope you like it. Mine stalls to about 2800 and flashes to about 3k.

I'd try to back out of that 2600 if i were you. Like i said with even a stock cam i only gained a half tenth from that convertor.
Bigger cam = less low rpm power...most times anyway. There are exceptions but i'm telling you your gonna want no less than a 3k stall.

I love my TT3000, and ive had several converters... all which have given me problems until now..
The 3000 is really streetable... you have to drive it easy to keep your gas mileage. but ive managed 16-17 in town with mine and thats pretty good...
It brake stalls to 2800 or so and flashes 3200...

Other than the 400 rpm difference, the 3000 has a higher str multiplier, which will apply more torque until stall rating. But, it is usually at the cost of higher rpm effeciency.
