due to the headache that i faced from the 4l80 swap

i was wondering why not if i got the 4l60 stage 5 to prevent the swap headache???

Don't think it'll fit in a dodge/Jeep.

moved to the GM drivetrain section. Why go 4L80e or why not go FLT lv5 4L65? Both? I believe the FLT 4L65e is good to about 500hp even if a few of us are pushing it harder. Call Chuck on Tuesday and discuss your needs, I'm sure he can help you out!

You cannot expect any 4L60E to survive very long at the power levels you are quoting. Chances are a properly built 4L80E will outlast a 4L60E by a pretty wide margin. You can build a 4l80E and have the headache of installing it... or you can have the headache of pulling/installing a 4L60E multiple times with lots of money spent in repeat rebuilds. Either way its a headache. It just depends on how long you want the headache to last.

Very well said. With those power levels I would not even consider building a 60 for your truck. Bills right the 80 is the best route for you.
