I don't know but I am putting mine in this week and It doesn't seem like it shoud take that long. Maybe thats with eating lunch, a few beers, finding the right wrench, and BSing with your buddy.

Hmm... started putting my trans back in my truck one evening (6pm-ish), with a floor jack, by myself. I wasn't completely finished until 9:30pm. I'm guessing the tech manuals add some time as a buffer "in case s***" happens.

Yes, Alldata gives the average time to do a certain job for different mechanical tech's level of experience. Errors are also added in.
It doesn't matter what time frame you or someone else might be able to do the swap in.

That's what flat rate is all about...yoou win some you lose some. If you can do the job in 4 hours and you get paid for 9 then you win....if not then you're working for free.
