Weather was 85 and DA is always high but that should help it hook not hurt since it makes less power right? As far as the track goes I go the same 60 fts at both tracks so that is not it. Next time out I'm taking off the caltracs bar and doing a with and without comparison. Any other ideas?
Grind the calipers and get 15x10 wheels. Then get the m/t et radial tire in a 28 x 11 or 12x 15. This will solve your tire problems. People hook that tire and pull front tires.
I cant help with the cal tracs tho.

Were they having a big race out there last night?????? If not, it DOES matter which track. The ONLY time Desert will hook is when they are having a big race and are prepping the **** outa the track. If it's just test and tune, and a little bracket race, they don't give a ****. Just because you are swaying back and forth down the track doesn't mean you are spinning. It's because the air in the tires are low, and they have soft sidewalls, so you are goin to feel that. My ET streets did the same f'n thing down the track when I was runnin 15psi. Ran my best pass and best 60ft also, BUT they were having some big grudge matches so the track was prepped pretty good. You also need to get some 10" wide rims so it pulls the tires out, and makes a bigger contact area.

track prep is KEY to a good launch. for instance when i was at the track a few weeks ago, they got so many complaints about the horrible launch pad that they VHT'd the first 30 feet. that was fine for shitty imports but not for the high hp cars that would spin after 30ft. non prepped track my truck gets 2.3-2.5 sixties, but ive gotten 1.69 -1.75 on a good track (launching at 6000rpm, 5psi)
edit: 27x10.50x16 tires. 18psi works well for me, with a good burnout
