When they installed my 20's, I saw them cutting those retainer clips off of the wheel studs before they put the 20's on.
I asked the guy why he was doing that and he showed me the difference in the stock wheel mounting surface and the 20" wheel mounting surface.

Get it fixed ASAP

my brother bought a brand new '05 when that year first came out with drum brakes and he has had problems with his shaking at least slightly ever since he got it... he did take the clips off and that helped some but it still feels like it has some shake in it when you brake... I drove it, I know exactly what you are talking about... gotta suck with it being a brand new truck.

If its not the clips then do a search for Chevy6000VHO's troubles he's had with his brakes. He's got it very well complained about on the site here.

I don't know if you said or not, but were these aftermarket 20's? If so, then it is very likely that it could just be the clips, I have had this happen before. Worse case scenario it could be the warped brakes.

My rear brakes are still ****! Glad to see your problem isn't like mine!
When you can afford to get an alignment, do it. There are two different alignment setting for the trucks that come with the 20" and another set of settings for trucks with stock wheels.
Reason I know this is because I work hands on with the alignment machines at my weekend job at NTB.
come see me on a weekend other than this one and I can hook you up for pretty cheap. If you decide to use someone else, make sure you tell them to align it for the 20" wheels option.

Jim
