why is there play in my steering wheel

Default why is there play in my steering wheel

my truck just past 120k so something in the front end is finally giving out but i dont know what.. lately my steering has been getting more and more play, almost doesnt even feel like it has power steering anymore. just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and found the sulution.

I would lift the front tires and checked for any movement in the tie rod ends. Or maybe the rack and pinion is getting worn, if it is 2wd.

I would say that it's the tie rods. if you raise it up and try to wiggle the tires back and forth, they'll move if the tie rods are worn. also, try to turn the steering wheel with the ignition on, but engine off.

its a 2wd i'll do the wiggle test to see if theres movement
