Default wierd steering in 03 4x4

I have a 03 silverado 4x4, etd cab. 5.3. When I turn really sharp at slow speeds, like pulling in a parking lot or backing up it feels like the wheels in front are buckling. They chatter, squeel really bad on black top. This is in 2wd. Really bad in 4x4. Had alignment checked its fine. 4x4 totally disengages also. Thought maybe lock to lock in steering was a little more than should be but its less than my friends. I like this truck and want to mod it but ain't gonna if I can't get this figured out. Please help a gear head out....I wanna mod

Yeah mine seems to do it too. I haven't had an alignment yet so I'm hoping its just that. Also its going to do it really bad in 4x4 but shouldn't in 2wd.

Take it in to a shop or get the alignment double checked.
Some of those cheap places that do alignments don't always do them right. I had one done and not even 4 months later, I took it back in and had it checked again and it was off. They wouldn't even re-align it for free either.

The hubs may not be unlocking there is a plunger in the top of the diff that engages 4wd so you may need to check that out its a really weak part and causes the problem you are talkign about or the 4wd wont disengage one of the two when that part goes bad.
