Chase, I disabled TCC lockup via EFIlive for now. Already ordered the TCC lockup and TCC/PWM solenoids from work. I also sent a message to Chris @ Circle-D and he thinks it is VERY unlikely that I burnt or messed up the clutch with my setup. Also, I checked the fluid again before work and the level looks fine, and the fluid still looks and smells brand new.

As to your frustration, I definitely understand that you cannot diagnose a problem without looking at the transmission all apart. It's definitely a hard job to diagnose problems and I definitely appreciate all the help you've given me over the past few years.

Changing the solenoids will only cost me ~$60 + fluid, so I think I will start there. If that does not fix it, I will have to find out some way of getting another vehicle to drive and park the truck until I get a chance to pull out the tranny and send the converter off to Circle-D for inspection/cleaning.

 

Just a random idea:

How many times have you swaped the converter on this transmission? Did you replace the o ring on the input shaft? Could have a leak there.

 

I have only had one converter installed on this tranny, and it has not been out of the truck since it was built. I paid chase to build the tranny and install it, he did a great job and have had zero problems with it until now (close to two years ).


I hope it's just a solenoid, I'll try and keep everyone post. Thanks for all the ideas on what it could be.

 

this is similar to how all my problems started. Just wait for a snowball effect
