Will a high stall torque converter bring back my lope?
My truck lopes pretty decent in park or neutral, but as soon as I put it in drive, it sounds like the trucks idle speed jumps up to like 850 and has no lope at all. I have checked in the tune and the idle speed is around 700-750 in park, and in gear. I have also checked idle rpms/in gear rpms with efi live in logs. I'm wondering if the stock torque converter is putting some drag on the motor causing it not to lope at all. Will say a 9.5" 3200 stall take that pressure off the motor while its in gear and let it lope in gear too?
