Thats what it looks like. Any Idea what the teeth look like inside where the shaft goes in? You must have **** when that let loose going that fast!

I may look like the spins on the transmission output shaft may be gridded down too...

I would get the transmission completely rebuilt. Anytime a shock of that magnitude is sent through the drivetrain, you can be pretty certain that something else internal is damaged.

I had just merged onto the interstate and gave it some gas then a loud hum then a second later a lot of clanging and smoke (im guessing the fluid hitting the exhaust) and pulled over to the shoulder not half a mile from the on ramp. Engine and rear are fine, just driveshaft, tcase, and trans are the unknowns.

Any bets on the torque converter? Its a vig triple disc which I was planning to keep when I upgraded the trans.

I wonder if the guy that rebuilt it will warranty it....

As long as the converter hub is not broken, it should be fine. Just make sure you take it somewhere to be opened up and cleaned out.

The driveshaft looks fine aside from the ujoint of course. The Tcase was literally just sitting on top of the skid plate wedged in place by the two driveshafts. The output shaft of the trans is scored pretty good.

Damn.
