yea, use your 9/16 gearwrench and go from the top. the hose your talkin about, IIRC, is a vent line that bolts to one the the tranny-to-engine bolts. there should have been a nut holding it on

As far as the bolts are concerned, I was able to access them with a "shorty" combination wrench.

ooo, the transfer case bolts. mmmmmm
IIRC i used a racthet with a swivel head, its very tricky.
thats why i always put the transfer case and transmission together before stabbing them in the truck

I finally got it with some creative use of socket extensions and wiggling around.
One of the trans mount bolts wont go in without a fight, im afraid im cross-threading it but the other one went it easy and this one starts fighting a few turns after it catches.
