Will my current set up break a 4l65E??
I posted this in the reg drivetrain section and only got a few answers, I tried another search but nothing for sure. I seen a few guys are running alot of hp threw them with out issue. Will I break one of them with a my set up, in sig. It will have a transgo kit installed. Is it true that they are about 20% stronger then the reg 60e?. Have a chance to get one at a really good price, I think mine is on the way out, lol. So lemme know. Again any help on this is great, I am searching again on it.
Thanks John

Also it will have good servos in there, The truck is a reg cab short bed, the pig weights in at 4400 with me in there.. I guess what I am getting at is it worth me to pick this thing up add the shift kit, Servo's and go with it or just save up and get a built one. I am gestamating about 435-50is hp to the crank. Hmmmmm I hate going fast .Thanks guys

my build will be similar to yours and i have seen many guys doing okay with the servos and shift kit. i am also getting a b&m cooler as that is what the tranny master down here recommends and he has build trannys for trucks in the 10s. the b&m cooler and long tru-cool coolers are desgined a lil different and said to be more efficient. in addition, the transmission guy who sold me the shift kit recommended an additive called lubegard which you can get at just about any auto parts store for 12 bucks and is suppose help with slipping and tranny temperatures. i will save up money for a tranny though just in case. these guy down here builds them for like 1,000 with yours as a core and again he has built them for guys running 10s so he knows what he is doing.
good luck with your project. (like them centerlines you got, been wanting to get some. what tb are you using, electronic or cable???)

It depends how you drive. I had 380 rwhp on a stock 65e for 60k miles. Ran the radix for a few months and now 3rd is slipping under wot. So you can make it last but you aren't going to be able to go to the track every weekend if you want it to.
