Will a nbs 99-07 4l60e work in a 88-98 obs chevy?

Default Will a nbs 99-07 4l60e work in a 88-98 obs chevy?

Anybody know? I have a guy interested in my transmission out of my nbs truck and he has a 94 1500 burban.

i dont think so, unless the engine is ls based, you might be able to find a bell housing that will work but im not sure, you would prolly need a new drive shaft as well.

yea I wasn't sure if the splines were the same or if the bellhousing pattern was the same. I told the guy I was skeptical that it would work and the bellhous/tailshaft may need to be swapped out.
