Default Will TB converter need tuning?

I have a 5.3 wil no internal changes, 460e with vette servo, wait4me tune, and I want to put in a Trailblazer I6 converter. Will the converter lock up at highway speeds and will I need a retune? I only have a 3:42 ring and pinion. It's a daily driver and needs good street manners.

It will retain lockup just fine but its the higher stall speed that I'm told will cause an issue with triggering code p1870 trans slip detected because the pcm doesn't know that higher stall is an acceptable amount of slip. When p1870 sets you get no lockup and possibly a brutal 1-2 shift.

Didn't have to do anything with mine.

Thanks for the feedback. I know modding any newer vehicle is some sort of gamble, but I can't stand the truck having to get around 2300 rpms before it comes alive. I had 85% of the torque management removed, but it only helped so much. I don't want to pull the tranny soon after I get the TC in.
