Bryan - I'm thinking we cut the driveshaft down and just splice it back together with some heavy guage sheetmetal and self cutting tappets. Bam, racing on Sunday.

VINCE!!! Make some phone calls...use your "industry pull" and get his driveshaft done as well!!

You know, between the 2 of you, you could pull off enough liquid nails to just make a new driveshaft.

Liquid nails would probably work just as well as having it welded.

Dont laugh too much at Duct tape....

Ive limped home in that 96 Cherokee i use to drive...
I was speed shifing it and broke the rear ujoint. (That 2.5L 4cyl wasnt lacking)
Went to Advanced Auto... wouldnt ya know it.... they gave me the wrong Ujoint...

Didnt know it until i got back to my Jeep and tried to put it on... so what did i do?

Got under there and made the u joint fit. the caps were too big but the clamps barley held in in there.... Wrapped the usual amount of duct tape around it and eased home... 18 miles doin 30mph...
Got home and the duct tape had melted... but i pulled the DS foward and after a few mintues of cutting i got the DS out...

Got a new DS and u joints the next day...
