Default WTB rear locker and gears. Where do I start

Looks like my best bang for the buck on this truck will be gears and a locker. Truck is a 2500HD with a 9.5" ring gear. I think it is a 10 bolt but not sure there. In any case I think I want to get 4.56 min to help offset my 37" tires but may be willing to go up 1 more size on the gearing whatever that would be. Where is a good cheap place to find what I need. Also want to eliminate the one legger with a locker. I dont need best money can buy, just functionality. Thanks guys

You've got a 14 bolt

Check out rons machine service on ebay.

4:88 would be your next lowest gear you could go with.

4.56 is not really enough gear. go with 4.88 or 5.13 rons has the best deals I have seen

How focked up will my gas mileage be. HAHA Right now the truck seldom uses the OD so I am betting with the new gears it will take advantage of OD. My gas mileage is not good to say the least but I didnt buy the truck for that. I just dont want 5-6mpg. I am looking to just make pulling my 23' toy hauler and Z06 alittle easier. Oh yeah and the truck is a 4X2 2500 HAHA damn california pavement pounder.

10.5" rear or 11.5" aam if its a duramax or 8.1

go with 4.88 ratio
detroit tru trac if you want a lsd or full detroit for a locker.
master install kit

and if its 4x4 its 9.25 ifs and you'll need matching ratio and install kit. they also make a lsd for the front but i wouldnt waste my money with it

edit: just saw its 4x2 so disregard that last part. if you have a 6.0 i would definitely go with 5.13 seeing as how you tow

You are correct my friend it is a 6.0L 4X2. Is there a place that will sell everything as a kit. I dont honestly know the differance between a LSD or locker. In the end all I am really looking for is getting traction to BOTH tires out back instead of one. I dont want to break the bank eitherl

randy ring and pinion would be a good place to order from. i would suggest going with sierra or motive brand gears. and im also guessing you wouldnt like a full locker so go with a tru trac
