Default Yank Converters

Bought A Yank Billet 3600 Stall Converter About 1 Year Ago. It Lasted About 1 Month. Sent It Back In For Warranty And They Fixed It And I Put It Back In. That One Lasted About 2 Months... Im Alittle Pissed Now. Sent It Back Under Warranty And He Fixed It Again. About 4 Months Later, It Took Another Crap. Sent It Back Under Warranty. Now Yank Is Telling Me The Converter Is Been Cut Open Too Many Times And Is Useless Now. They Tell Me They Can Build Me A Custom Converter For My Truck To Handle The Power And Will Never Break... But It's Going To Be $600 More, On Top Of The $900 Ive Already Paid!!!! So I Go For It And Have Had This Converter For About 1 Year... But Im Starting To Have Some Problems Again.. It Will Only Stall To 1800 Rpms On The Foot Brake... My Best 60 Foot Is 2.0..... For All Of You Guys Running Yanks, What Can Yall Stall Your Converters Too? Or Flash Them Too? Any Of Yall Ever Had Problems With Yanks???

you're running a 4l60e with a 408 and a 200 shot of nitrous. That's your problem. It's not the converter man

As many times as you have had it out did Yank tell you why it kept failing? I assume they know how much power you are putting to the crank BEFORE they offered to build you a new verter for more money? ... and do they know you are running a 200 shot?

Its been awhile since I dealt with them but they are definitely a reputable company that stands behind their product.

My Yank is tight it says 2600 and it stalls exactly to 2600. To be honest your the firsat thread I have ever read having problems with Yank. I am about to put in a TT3000 into my truck and recommend them to everyone. seems like something else is going on here the nitrous could be causing the problems. FI will cause you to stall up higher.

Maybe you should call me, (Mike) as no one here has any current info on this issue and Dave or myself have not talked to you and we would like to get your info ASAP to help you out!

**edit** Please see Yanks profile and give them a call

Now that's what a reputable sponsor does!

I've heard nothing but great things about Yank, and will be contacting them to replace the PTC I have now ("shudders" badly upon lockup below 48mph). Gotta save some dinero.
