Here's a light throttle looking at before and after it seems like 400 rpm looser... I'll have the comparison of one vs another in a new thread tomorrow

That doesn't seem too bad at all. I can't remember exactly but when I had a SS3600 it acted fairly similar. I think you've convinced me to send this one back and get it restalled to 4,000.

So is tighter better for driving around town? Sorry for my noobness but i might be ordering soon because of their 10%off sale and would like to know if i should go with the sst instead of ss.

This is all personal preference. If you dotn mind cruisign with the RPM's higher then I guess looser isnt worse. But having the RPM's higher means more noise and worse gas mileage. That is generally why people prefer a "tighter" converter for cruising. Everybody wants a converter that will pop you right in the meat of the power ban off the line though... its a fine line to walk down.

The looser you go with the converter the less efficient they get at high speeds WOT as well.

I've come to the conclusion the only solution is MORE POWER

Rfugio68: yes tighter is better for diving around town.. my3200 was much more like stock to drive around... its one thing or the other lol...
@ vortec350ss yes its looser than stock and yes louder and yes it waste more gas but so much more fun to drive lol... and efficiency at high speed wot.. well depends this this thing picks up much better than my stock converter on a 70-100 punch..I'll post videos
