Yank "truck thruster" 3000
#3
i love mine. i probably will not buy another stall though. it is not practical for how i use my truck. i have a Z71 with All Terrain tires so i don't really get much use out of a stall. it can be fun though when at a light, i put it in 4hi. also, i have done many burn outs with it. that is when my tires are already bald and i am eventually going to get new ones. no need for me to roast new tires.
the yank 3000 is very streetable. i can tow heavy loads with it still.

I have a Yank PT3200 and cant wait to get that thing installed.
From what i understand/read about converters. On higher stall converters, the efficiency hurts with the 278mm housings. Basically the AoA (angle of attack) of the turbine is less then optimal, but necessary to get the desired stall. On smaller 245mm housings, the AoA can be set for more efficiency, yet due to its smaller design when used in conjuction with high-powered engines, it will still stall high. And in theory should still be a 'tight' converter.
This is my take on the differences between 278mm and 245mm TC's And is no way written by a professional.
EDIT: only the Yank SST3200 is a 245mm housing. the SC3000/PT3200 is a 258mm housing, but is the only ones with 6 mounting lugs!
