Default Yank TT3000 to 3600

How much do you guys think I could drop my 60' time? Potentially and realistically?

This big turd currently cuts 1.9X launching in 4WD on 37's. Might toss the 35's back on next time.

The 3600 and some 4.88s should help a ton. You need some serious mechanical advantage turning that tall of a tire under that much weight, hell I wouldn't rule out some 5.13's... 1.9s on 37s is nothing to sneeze at though

The tt is a tight converter.. Not much looser than stock just stalls up higher. The 3600 would be loose.. It would prolly pick it up alittle cuz you would be leavin off higher in your power and shift extensions help a lot too

I think I'm going to go ahead and try a 3600. I only drive the truck a couple times a week so I'm not worried about street manners.

I'm hoping the converter and shorter tires will get me close to 1.7X. May sound crazy, but I want to get down to 13.0 before I start spraying. Think it can be done?

Just want to give this thread an update. I swapped a Precision Industries 3600 converter in my truck and it dropped my 60' down to 1.81. And that was with a somewhat mild launch to prevent spinning. My ET for that run was 13.30.

So to anyone considering a looser converter, just go for it!
