yes you can drive it without a retune. i did this for aprox two wks with my 3200. it will however perform and feel better with a retune and prolly get better gas mileage too after u tune the lockup speeds.

You may or may not get a check engine light until it's tuned, it seems to be hit or miss. There are a few shift solenoid, and slippage codes that the flashing of the converter to a higher RPM may trigger. I had a shift solenoid code with my 3k converter until Justin turned that code off. My Circle-D is 258mm as opposed to 278mm of the Yank TT3000 though, so therefore it's looser, and reacts differently than your Yank will, so you may not have this issue.

my truck is the older lt1 style so the tt3000 is 298mm but if it dose set off codes i have my scan gauge 2 hooked up always so i can reset it on the fly . should only be a week or two untill the tune .

Yep, that's exactly what happened when mine tripped the code Luckily I had my scan tool with me and immediately pulled over and cleared the code so's not to smoke my new FLT Lvl7. I had to baby the truck home and I parked it until I received my updated PCM from Justin.
