I did. The TT2600 lasted three WOT to lock-up cycles at the track and on the 4th, it let loose taking out the tranny pump amongst other things.

Yes and no (more yes than no). In a high HP set-up, I would advise against it for sure. The TT3000 also couldn't hold lock-up during a dyno session even when it was locked prior to going WOT. I assume the clutch was already on its way out at that point anyway though.

Now, I wouldn't hesitate to put a Yank TT3000 in a bolt on truck and have at it. Many have done so and thoroughly enjoyed their purchase. I just pushed my converters way too hard for the power levels I had and had to live with the consequences.

So you think that a heads/cam 6.0 would be too much for the TT series, even if I don't lock it at WOT?

I ENJOY my TT3000 everyday!

Can't speak to issues locking at WOT, other than I won't be doing it.

My opinion: Call Yank, tell them what your intentions are and buy it.

Then again if you want to sleep well, read until your satisfied and buy what you feel comfortable with.

Just like Krambo advises (as I have been down the same long, expensive road) get more converter than what you'll need (strength wise) and don't worry about it... My truck will never have anything less than a billet (and even multi-lockup disk) converter.... It will just turn right around and bite you in the asscheeks (read wallet) otherwise....

if you are planning to go to the track often and get some record breaking e/t's, then go bigger, if not the tt3000 will do just fine.... remember everything is liable to break, the p.i. triple disk breaks, "skeet" is already having issues with it and is about to pull it out.... but talk to the companys and see who convinces you the best..... my fuddle has been holding up for 3yrs i believe.... and mine locks @ WOT at 95mph..... the transmission has gone but not the converter yet.... at the time a member on here asked howard (fuddle converter builder) about locking the converters and howard told him go ahead cause he uses a heavy duty single clutch that is as strong as a triple disk... of course he could be bullshitting but hey i know quite a few that have been running strong for a while...

Mostly daily driving with an occassional trip to the track, but I do like to drive hard. I guess that I'll call both Yank and Circle D when I have the opportunity...it's a tough to balance strength and budget lol.

I liked the SS series from Yank more than my TT3000. The TT3k was good for DDin, but my SS4000 was just ungodly, wish I could go back to that thing
