It would appear that the tank has to be droped to get the hanger bolts, to get the pin out to put the cal tracs on... Am I missing sumpin here... .. Ladeeda da...

Every truck I have dropped I have had to drop the gas tank due to the clearance for the leaf spring bolt. It acctually isn't too bad if you have a 1/4 tank or less.

i just usually use a jack to hold the tank and pull the bolts off the straps, then you can move it enough to get a box end wrench on the nuts of the hangers .

O K I fig that. The bolts that hold the hanger on that side, doesn't have nuts welded to the back of the frame rail do they???.... No biggie, just wanted to be sure..

Yeah, just support it with a jack and slide it over a little. I have done this a couple of times, but if you want to be lazy just cut the bolt off and buy a new one and put it in the opposite way.

Yah that would be a way, but *** it I am going to take me time and do it right. Plus there is some company in the garage and the beer is cold. I have all night or untill I get hammered. LOL
