Default Z55 AutoRide ?'s (shocks)

Just got an o1 Tahoe LT with the AutoRide (Z55) suspension. I really want to replace the factory shocks(they still have the Delphi stickers on them) With some new shocks,on the front at least. My ?,Can I run standard shocks, like a Bilstein? Don't wanna drop $300 per shock. I can just plug the airlines on the front,if there are any. Plus I have 22's,going to 20's tho, and I thought Bilstein's would be a good shock to help control the weight of the bigger rubber/wheels. if this is like the older gm self leveling stuff, you can run standerd shocks, but loose the leveling effect, wich doesn't matter,I don't tow a large trailer anyway. thanks

TTT... Anyone have any shock preferences. Leaning towards factory Z71 Bilsteins. What shock helps with the higher unsprung weight of 20's? thanks

If the Z55 package uses the same shocks as the FW1 package then you can't use another shock. The lower bracket on the front shocks is U-shaped instead of round. I looked at most aftermarket shocks and couldn't find a shock to fit without replacing the lower arms from a "normal" truck. Finally went with Monroes which are a little better than stock but ALOT better than the dead stockers I had.
