I bought mine for the cool sticker.

Actually mine has seen a lot of off-pavement time. I just recently (last year or two) got into performance stuff, haven't been off much since then, but I have some fun pics at home I'll post up later. I'm not planning on lowering mine, cause I like to have a truck that can go offroad, tow a trailer, and still beat a lot of what is out there.

most definitley. your right trevor, lifts kits are very expensive.I still love the look of a jacked up truck, my last one had 9 '' of lift, but when you want to go fast and be able to hook, a stock height or lowered 4x4 cant be beat most times.

LOL...I left mine on for a while because I liked the way it looked at first. Then I swapped it with one where the "Z" was green...that lasted about a week until they were removed completely. (I used to be going for a black and green sorta theme, but now it's more black and blue...if you've ever seen the wire loom under my hood you'll notice the blue I'm talking about)

Ford and dodge don't use lockers but they do use Limited Slip diffs which are about equal or better then our G80s (at least ford 9.75" rear LSDs don't explode). My only complain about 1/2 chevy trucks is their tiny little diffs, I mean, there is something wrong when a dodge dakota comes with a bigger diffs then a FSC. As for the Z71 package the only difference between these trucks is shocks and some say bump stops.

If you plan on making alot of horsepower for straight line performance, a 4WD Z71 truck is a better choice than 2WD.
not that i like a 2wd, but check out the top 10 in the fastest 1/4 mile. It's 2 4wd versus 8 2wd's. granted parish's 60'er isn't anything to laugh at, it's the fastest.

I have the z71, i am the same as thunder use mine, not much as I used to.

Yeah but in the top 10 how many of them could leave the track and run the same numbers on the street? That was my goal and reason I went 4wd. Traction. I do nothing for prep at the track, other than removing my headlight. No DR's, no suspension work, no airing down tires, no burnouts, stock Firestone tires @ 32 psi.

just saying 4wd doesn't mean you are the fastest compared to a 2wd with the same HP(obviously weight and lots of factors, but you get my point) His comment was toward lots of horsepower. I hear ya, parish is, uhmmm parish for a reason, race, kick ***, drive home. LOL

The track by me MAKES you drive through the water. But, for the most part it's 2wd big dogs there, so not many complain.
