Looks good! Not what I'd do with mine, but it's still cool If I ever hit the lottery, I'd get a truck for every occassion...until then, mine has to pull double duty as my daily driver and my hot rod I'll admit that it is nice to see some 4x4's being used as 4x4's...

That picture with the rock trucks is sweet. If I could figure out how to post pictures, i will show you my Z-71 next to the bucket of a 992G.

I got a z-71 because I needed a 4wd for Alaska winters and it happened to be a z-71. I lowered it because it looks so much better. I still have the crappy red shocks so it handles poorly and every time I hit a bump, I hit the roof, but at least it looks cool.
Also lifted trucks up here are pretty common, and it has always seemed kind of redneck to me.

Hey i have a 98 Ecsb Z71 with cranked T bars and 32 x 11.5 bfg all terrains and ive always loved the look of a big jacked up truck with huge meats but they were all woods trucks around here. I got the z71 because its what i happen to find on the lot and i liked everything else about it, i also live on the top of a very large hill so 4X4 is a must but i have a coupple questions for you guys with boosted and lowered Z71's. I have been thinking about lowering my truck latly and am looking for a good kit for my truck with about a 3/4" drop. I want something that handles good and isant to low the winter driving. I was also wondering how the stock transfer case held up for you guys running boost and doing 4 wheel launches. I know chevy trannys arnt all that strong and the 4l60e usually gets replaces with the larger 4l80e but how does the stock transfer case hold up to all that abuse? sorry for the long post but ive been searching this subject for a long while with no response and i think i finally found the right group of guys to ask.

Thanks Garett

The transfer case will be fine, I have been doing 4hi launches every time at the track and never had a problem.

Well thats good to know, but do i have the same transfer case as you? Im assuming so but ive never really looked into it, My truck has the pushbutton 4x4 on the dash. And How fast do you run up to in 4hi. Is there a limit? i mean i wouldent be doing 100Mph on the highway in 4hi but if your doing the 1/4 mile is it safe to leave your truck in 4hi? I know parish has done this for a coupple years know but i thought he had converted his truck to fill time AWD or something. i didnt know he was just running in 4hi.

heres why i got a Z71, I spend more time offroad than I do at the track, but it still runs 13 on the bottle & it tows my 24ft enclosed trailer.

He is running the same one, but I don't think you are....is yours autotrac? Shouldn't matter though, they are rated at some ridiculous amount of torque, like 5500 ft-lb. Just don't do any 4-lo launches and you'll be fine.
