Default 0-60 G-Tech time for '05 Tundra (282hp)

I bought the G-Tech for shoots and grins. I'll test my Denali sometime this week. Today my Dad and I tested his '05 Tundra (282hp this year) and my Mom's Matrix (auto). We averaged 3 runs.

Tundra: 7.8
Matrix: 10.8

We didn't have the road to test 1/4 times. I'm pretty impressed with the G-Tech though, seems to be right on the money compared to the Magazine times!

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there!

Nope, no mods, it's stock. They used to be 240hp for all the V8's up until this year ('05) and they're now 282hp. They added VVT and some other goodies.

That's the same G-Tech I got! It was worth it just to try the two cars today for $26.99 plus shipping!

I wouldn't doubt it. The thing feels pretty quick. Really sings in the mid-upper RPM band where that VVT (and all the extra power this year) is making itself known. Plus it's running in a very well spaced 5-speed auto. They gearing is much better for quickness than, say, my Denali's (before the Turbo anyway). My Denali runs nearly to 55mph in first and 90 plus in 2nd. Bad for a N/A vehicle!

Yep, if you have the G-Tech and are getting better times, then you know you can beat one! That's probably the only way to tell is a "same" comparison. Although it is pretty close to the magazine times.

I checked C&D and R&T, neither are showing any of the Chevy full-size as being faster. Maybe they're 4x4's though. So far the order is: Titan, Hemi, Tundra, Chevy, Ford from what I'm seeing. Then again, how many of us out here are stock????
