0-60 MPH Time
Hey guys,
A buddy of mine and me did a 0-60 test on my truck yesterday after I had the Flowmasters replaced with straight pipes. The truck is bone stock as stated in my sig, except for the mods listed. The times came out to be 6.75~7.00 seconds on three trials. Does this sound right for my truck, or did he do something wrong with the stopwatch?.....lol. Take care.

Magazines like Car and Driver show mid 8 second 0-60 for the extra cabs, stock. The quickest truck 0-60 (for "regular" trucks) is the Titan. I believe it runs a 7.2 0-60, stock. Are you guys using GTech to get these times?

that does sound pretty quick for a stock truck. you never know though. if those are correct, those are some damn good times. my ss with a few bolt ons runs 5.9 now. stock it was in the low 7s. i sure would like to get into the 4s like you stallion.

I did 0-60 stop watch runs for years and thought I was pretty consistent doing until I got a G-tech. I picked up a new original G-tech Pro for $25 off of Ebay and have had it for about 2 months now. On my stop watch, my truck would do 0-60 in 6.5-6.7 seconds, with the G-tech it's 7.3-7.5 seconds. I know the G-techs can be off some but it starts the clock as soon as the truck moves a little. I guess my reactions starting and stopping the stop watch were off. Next time I go the track, I will see how accurate the G-tech I have is. My best 1/4 track run is 15.24, usually in the 15.3-15.4 range. My best G-tech 1/4 mile run is 15.31 and ususally in the 15.5-15.6 range. So, don't believe what the stop watch says, I speak from experience.

Here's the thing.. my truck is hardly 3,000 lbs... maybe less... i have a carbon composite bed and its rcsb...
A lot of the stuff i've done to my truck is for acceleration... i looked it up somewhere and found that my truck stock is SUPPOSED to be like 6.5 sec, stock my truck, with the lighter body, was about a 1/2 second faster... (on radials)
my 4.5-5 sec time is timed at Atlanta Motor Speedway.. reason why its between 4.5-5.. is bc we ran it a few times and got diff times.. like the first time was 5.2.. but i spun a tad.. the second time i got 4.5 and the third time was 4.8 so its around 4.5 to 5 seconds.
