Default 00 Walbro fit with bucket functioning?

Need to upgrade from the stocker in my 2000 reg cab, but do not want to lose the functionality of the bucket to be able to kick it down with less than half tank. I used the magnacharger gls392 in my crew cab, it worked perfectly like stock, looking for something similar for a return style. What is everyone using, and how does it work?
Thanks

My Walbro only has one pickup, and it's under the bucket. I don't know if they make one with dual pickups yet.

You launch out of the hole with 1/4 tank or less? Which pump are you using?

Anyone else running a stock style pump with a walbro that launches out of the hole? Have to get going on this, dropping fuel pressure pretty good at about 5psi and 3500 rpm. Stock pump might me weak, but not just going to put a new stock one back in...

Yep, 4x4 launches never ever had a fuel issue with 1/8th tank or less.

I use the walbro 255. I bought it from texas speed, but summit sells it also, bout 120-130$

I also use new stock plastic convuluted tubing to hook up the pump, i dont like rubber hose in my tank.

Actually call Lonnies Performance ( LS1 Tech sponsor) and order everything from him, he is one of the most knowlegable and helpful people/person ive ever dealt with.

Sounds good. I ordered a walbro 255 with the install kit with the clear tubing. Did you grind the bucket and have the sock out the bottom like some others or did you do it differently?
Thanks for the replies, helps to know what others have done and what works.

Yep, I ground / clearenced the bucket so the pump sits right in the bottom, the sock is on the underside of the bucket like others.

Its super easy, just take your time.

I also drilled 2 holes on each side of the bucket and used a high quality zip tie to strap the pump inside the bucket.

Good luck bud.

Thanks for the reply, I have done this before, just not with a return system, the returnless is a direct replacement and works exactly like stock. I have searched a bit, and seems others have had issues with starving on launch with lower fuel levels. Should work out ok then.
Thanks
