if there is no whine it is the pump or relay!
no need for a fuel pressure gauge, if it isnt whining it isnt working!
but they run 30-60 bucks.

When the wife turns the key on the ignition relay clicks then after that the f/pmp relay clicks. Then we do the same thing but I'm under the tank. When the pump should turn on I can hear it start then stop it's like it may be jammed up. I hit on the bottom of the tank to maybe free it up and it does the same thing, the pump starts and almost instantly stops. Did the screw driver trick also, my truck is a 2000 so I have the older style top cover and you can get to the passenger side fuel rail easily. Took the cap off the tap and used a small screwdriver to bleed it, and a drop of fuel came out. Tried to start it with no luck, used the screwdriver, and again noting comes out. While my wife tries to start it I used the scrwdriver to push in the pin, and still nothing.

yea, must be a faulty pump!
for 117.00 shipped you can replace your pump with a walbro 255 LPH instead of paying 400 bucks for a new assembly!

if interested this is the pump you will need:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=363112
install info

all you do is remove the old pump and put in the new one, splice on the new connector and Just stuff it in the bucket! I swapped one out wed. It took about 1hr.

I found a complete ready to drop in Dephi FG0271 for $255 plug tax at NAPA. I know it's just a stock replacement!!! That's the best deal I could find around here. I kind of need a quick fix, this weekend. They wouldn't ship one of those till Monday. I'll prolly put in the one from NAPA, and keep my old one so I'll have it later to do just that....

Thanks for all the help, I guess that is our next step is replace the fuel pump again. Still 50k miles out of this one 400 dollars from the dealer kinda sucks, it has a lifetime warranty if they install it but who the hell wants to pay 400 more dollars for them to do it. Thanks again for the input.
