02 SIMMS KICK CODES
gut cats Add 02 simms (new)4 weeks ago to 2000 5.3 silverado,and each day will set codes on both banks, clear code with a-tap will set next day ,remove simms and install on 1999 5.3 ( supplier states simms will work on 98-01 5.3) does not set codes reinstall on first truck ,you gessed it -sets codes
any one know answer ??

Hmmm...that's strange. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Maybe check the rear O2 wiring harness on the 2000 to see if the wires are burned or nicked. Maybe that is causing the code and not the actual SIMMS.

Heated Oxygen Sensor Identification and Usage
2000 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Models (Silverado and Sierra)with 4.8 L or 5.3 L V8 Engine (VINs V, T -- RPOs LM7, LR)
Two different styles of Heated Oxygen Sensors are used in the 2000 model year truck production.
Vehicles built at the Ft. Wayne (VIN Plant code Z) and Pontiac East (VIN Plant code E) assembly plants will use the Delphi Heated Oxygen Sensors.
Vehicles built at the Oshawa assembly plant (RPO OSG, VIN Plant code 1) will use the Denso Heated Oxygen Sensor.
