A base SS with no options has a sticker of $39K. I think the $26K must be his loan amount after trade in and down payment. Not sure who he is trying to fool.

Has anyone run one of these Vortec HOs against anything? Or was this case the real deal? I would have thought the SS would have been the quicker truck.

How about the extra weight and drivetrain loss of the AWD making the SS slower? It will probobly be like most cars that are offered in both AWD and RWD. The AWD is quicker and the RWD is faster.

I am A GM employee and when I looked at getting an '03 Z71 Lt fully loaded it was about $36,000. After my discount and rebates it was like $29,000. I know that usually you cant get big discounts with special models or vettes.

Actually I got them down with rebates to $26,500, and got $10k trade in on top of that. I put an additional $1,500 down and my payments are a whopping $270/mo for 5 years on a brand new SS. I financed approx $16,500 after T,T, and L. The truck had previously been through a small hail storm on the lot and they fixed all of it before I bought it. By the way, sticker on mine was $40,750 for my 03 SS with XM but no onstar.
P.S. No GM employee discount. I am elegible for the supplier discount, but I got a better deal without even using it.

Those new texas trucks are slick. I am an extended cab guy myself, but it sure would be nice if GM would make a reg cab one. It would take very little to make one of those dominate the sport truck market.
